Hope that you enjoy my trials for the day.....all you can do is just smile and keep moving.....I spent the day trying to get a good copy of 'In the line of fire'. I am trying to get rid of the vhs tapes that take up so much space. First time yesterday late.....stopped copying. I was not here, so do not know why. This morning, started again. I had blocks to trim (96 2 1/2" blocks) and did them down stairs...listening to the tape. Almost to the end....it stopped! But I heard it and took a quick look to see that "it is illegal to copy"....and then shut off! Okay...more than one way to skin the proverbial cat. Went to my sewing room and retrieved the vcr player, moved it down and read instructions...hooked up and set up to record for the third time. Left to do errand and figured that it would finish while I was gone. Got home and ....you guessed it....it stopped early again. (Think that I ran out of space on dvd. Thought that I had overwritten...but didn't). Started a forth time, set up again with a brand new dvd....and had to wait to go to dinner to make sure that it FINISHED! Finalized and went to dinner. Got home and the movie on AMC....you guessed it again.....'In the line of fire'! Tom read my horoscope for the day...."Although it might take a second or third effort, success in an important endeavor will finally be achieved. It'll be about something no one thought you could do and will prove persistence pays off." Don't know if it was persistence / stubbornness / or just plain blind luck.
I hope that as I go places in the world and see the beauty, that I remember that it is the small stuff that gets to you most of the time.....

The beauty of Kauai

Just a few pictures of the ocean and the beautiful sunsets.

We were on the west side of the island. It gets the best sunsets and has the greatest weather. It will be raining like crazy in the mountains or on the north side and the sun will be shining and beautiful on the west. It is also the slower paced side of the island. Which is much more to our liking.

Off to another location by the ocean. This time to Kauai.

Just sit me down and let me watch the waves come in .... and the waves go out .... and the waves come in ....
