We will be spending the next few weeks trying to get back to some kind of normal.  Tom needs to get to work but not work all the time.   I need to get back to doing the things that I used to do routinely.  Even if I am not doing them on a routine.  Laundry, vaccume, clean and then back to sewing.
If we are going to travel more.....lets get on the road!!

January ....

January 15th!!  We spent half the month huddled inside because of the absolutely horribly cold temperatures.  I hope that the rest of the year or month is better than this!!  Like normal weather!!  My Grandfather used to say that the first three days predict the first three months......NNNNOOOO!!!!  I don't want temps 30 degrees colder than normal until April!!!

The New Year is here.....

The New Year is finally here.  It has been a really cold end of 2009 and start to 2010.  The temperature has kept dropping for days and there is no danger of the snow melting.  Even when the sun comes out (for few hours in the afternoon every now and then), it is not near enough to do anything about the snow.  The streets have been warming and freezing into sheet ice almost every day.
What a wonderful way to start the year.  My Grandfather said that the first three days predicts the first three months......So, we are talking really cold and snowy or what????  Guess that means that I won't be going out of the house in the next few months....  I hate it when it is this cold!  I don't think that it is the snow because I love to take pictures of the snow.  It  is the bitter cold and then there is a slight breeze that just adds to the misery.

So.....I will be looking at taking care of all of those things that I have been putting off for the last few months when the weather was so nice and I was outside with the camera for hours.....just walking around and taking pictures of all kinds of things.  The animals were loving the walks......and I can guarantee that Kat is not going out in this!  (At least not for very long......)  And Fred has not even gone near a door.....except to watch the birds on the deck through the patio door.....sitting on the heater vent.
I will try and keep up with the exciting New Year....even in the bitter, miserable, painful, terrifically cold winter weather that has descended directly from the North Pole.  (Do you think Santa left it by mistake?  Or did someone just forget to set the thermostat on the air conditioner??)
